Terms of Payment

These Terms of Payment govern all payment transactions for purchases made on ishoesx.com ("we," "us," or "our") for women’s boots, rain boots, short boots, tall boots, and winter footwear, applicable to customers in the United States and select European countries. By placing an order on our website, you ("you" or "the customer") agree to comply with the following payment terms and conditions.

1. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept the following secure payment methods to facilitate your purchase:
  • Major Credit Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover (available for all U.S. and European orders)
  • Digital Wallets: PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay (compatible with most devices and browsers; subject to regional availability)
  • Alternative Payment Options: For European customers, we also support Klarna (pay in 3 installments) and SEPA bank transfers, subject to eligibility checks at checkout.
All payment methods are processed through third-party payment service providers (e.g., Stripe, PayPal) that comply with global security standards, including PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard). We do not store your full payment card details on our servers—all sensitive payment information is encrypted and securely transmitted to our payment partners for processing.

2. Payment Authorization & Verification

  • At the time of order placement, you authorize us to charge the total order amount (including product prices, shipping fees, applicable taxes, and duties) to your selected payment method.
  • We reserve the right to verify your payment information and identity to prevent fraudulent transactions. This verification may include checking billing address consistency, contacting your bank or payment provider, or requesting additional identification documents (e.g., copy of credit card, proof of address).
  • If payment verification fails, we may suspend or cancel your order without prior notice. We will notify you via email of the verification issue and provide instructions to resolve it, if applicable.

3. Pricing & Currency

  • All product prices displayed on the website are in either U.S. Dollars (USD) for U.S. customers or Euros (EUR) for European customers, unless otherwise specified. Currency selection is based on your shipping location, which is detected automatically during checkout (you may manually switch currency in the website footer, with final charges converted at the current market rate).
  • Prices do not include applicable taxes, customs duties, or import fees. For U.S. orders, sales tax is calculated based on your shipping address and added to the total order amount at checkout. For European orders, VAT (Value Added Tax) is applied in compliance with EU regulations for eligible countries; customs duties and fees are the sole responsibility of the customer and collected by local authorities upon delivery (not included in checkout totals).
  • Shipping fees are calculated based on your location, order weight, and selected shipping method, and are added to the total order amount at checkout. Free shipping thresholds are clearly stated on the website and apply only to standard shipping for qualifying orders.

4. Payment Processing & Timing

  • Payment is due in full at the time of order placement. We do not offer on-account payment, layaway, or deferred payment plans except for the Klarna installment option available to eligible European customers (governed by Klarna’s separate terms and conditions).
  • For credit card and digital wallet payments, the charge is processed immediately upon order confirmation. You will receive a payment confirmation email from our payment provider within 24 hours of placing your order.
  • For SEPA bank transfers (European customers only), you must complete the transfer within 3 business days of order placement. Failure to do so will result in automatic order cancellation. We will provide a unique reference number and bank details at checkout for transfer identification.

5. Payment Failures & Order Cancellation

  • If your payment is declined or fails for any reason (e.g., insufficient funds, expired card, incorrect billing details, fraud prevention blocks), your order will not be processed. We will notify you via email to resolve the payment issue.
  • You may re-submit payment using the same or an alternative payment method within 48 hours of receiving the payment failure notification. If payment is not re-submitted within this timeframe, your order will be automatically canceled.
  • We are not liable for any delays or additional charges incurred due to payment failures caused by incorrect information, expired payment methods, or bank restrictions.

6. Refunds & Payment Reversals

  • Refunds for eligible returns or canceled orders will be processed to your original payment method, in accordance with our Return Policy. Refund amounts will match the exact amount charged to your payment method, excluding non-refundable shipping fees (unless the return is due to our error).
  • Refund processing times vary by payment method:
    • Credit/Debit Cards: 7–10 business days for the refund to reflect in your account (timelines depend on your card issuer’s policies)
    • PayPal/Apple Pay/Google Pay: 3–5 business days
    • Klarna Installments: Refunds will be applied to your outstanding balance; contact Klarna directly for installment adjustment details
    • SEPA Bank Transfers: 5–7 business days (subject to your bank’s processing rules)
  • We do not issue cash refunds, and all refunds are subject to the terms outlined in our Return Policy and Terms of Service.

7. Fraud Prevention

  • We take rigorous measures to prevent fraudulent transactions and protect both our customers and our business. These measures include address verification, card security code checks, and real-time fraud screening.
  • If we suspect fraudulent activity associated with your order (e.g., mismatched billing and shipping addresses, unusual purchase patterns, invalid payment details), we reserve the right to cancel the order immediately and notify you via email. We may also report suspicious activity to relevant financial authorities if required by law.
  • You agree to cooperate with us and our payment providers in any fraud investigation, including providing additional documentation to verify your identity or transaction legitimacy.
